Kellyn Hosts Fourth Lehigh Valley Lifestyle Medicine Symposium

EntSun News/11099035
TATAMY, Pa. - EntSun -- Kellyn hosted its fourth Lehigh Valley Lifestyle Medicine Symposium, "Changing the Game: Preventing and Reversing Chronic Disease," on May 2, bringing together educators, healthcare professionals, students and community leaders to learn about lifestyle medicine interventions. Held at Bethlehem Area School District's Northeast Middle School, the Symposium featured local and national speakers combining didactic presentations with hands-on experiential learning to provide a comprehensive exploration of how healthy behaviors and supportive community environments shape health and well-being.

"For too long, health care has focused primarily on treating disease after it develops," said Dr. Meagan Grega, co-founder and chief medical officer of Kellyn. "Lifestyle medicine allows us to move beyond disease management by nurturing optimal health while preventing, treating and reversing chronic disease. When we support healthy habits, strengthen communities and make the healthy choice the easy choice, we create the conditions for people to truly flourish."

"Healthy communities don't happen by accident; they are created when people come together around a shared vision," said Eric Ruth, chief executive officer and co-founder of Kellyn. "Our work is about connecting health care, food, schools and community partners so that healthy living becomes easier, more accessible and part of everyday life."

The Kellyn Foundation's 2027 Lifestyle Medicine Symposium is scheduled for March 13 at Bethlehem Area School District's Northeast Middle School.
