Juneau: Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan now available for public review and comment

~ The City & Borough of Juneau and Tlingit & Haida Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update for 2025 has been released for public review and comment. The plan, which aims to mitigate potential hazards in the area, can be accessed online. The public is encouraged to share their input on the Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) by using the Comment Log or emailing their comments by July 25, 2025.

Due to grant deadlines, the public comment period and finalization of the plan are being expedited. Along with the HMP, the Draft Mitigation Action Projects are also available for public comment until July 25, 2025.

Additionally, a public meeting will be held on July 21, 2025 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to present the Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan and gather further feedback from the community.
