Influencer & Entrepreneur Chiney K Tapped to Represent Jamaica in India for Global Cultural Exchange

EntSun News/11067644
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Jamaican-American Influencer, entrepreneur, actress and media personality Chiney K (Kerry-Ann Collins) is set to represent Jamaica in India this August as part of the Government of India's Familiarization Visit Exchange Program, a cultural diplomacy initiative bridging South Asia and the Caribbean. The selection marks a historic milestone for Collins.

With an online presence that blends humor, heart, beauty, and lifestyle, Chiney K has steadily become a standout voice in global pop culture. Now, the woman known for her viral takes on everything from motherhood to music will serve as a cultural bridge between nations.

"As a working mom, this moment isn't just about me. It's about the power of our presence in rooms and also proof to keep pursuing your goals and aspirations because life doesn't stop after having a baby." Collins said.

On her first visit to India in 2019, ChineyK fell in love with India's rich culture and it's people so much so that it inspired her fast-growing Joli Faire Hair Growth Oil.  The brand's ethos is centered on natural Ayurvedic ingredients and a belief women are beautiful no matter the hair texture.

Over the course of two weeks, Collins will tour cultural landmarks like the Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar, and participate in high-level meetings with Indian content creators, government leaders, and entrepreneurs. She'll document the entire experience across her platforms (@chineykpopgirl), giving her global audience a rare, unfiltered look into cross-cultural dialogue in real time.

Her invitation to India follows a similar honor in 2024, when she represented Jamaica in China under a parallel cultural exchange. But this latest appointment feels especially personal.

"India changed how I saw myself, my beauty, and the threads that connect us all," she said. "To be able to return, n connect us all," she said. "To be able to return, not just as a visitor, but as a representative is unreal. It's giving global soft power. It's giving diaspora excellence."

From appearances on TMZ, Revolt, and The Shade Room, to collaborations with top beauty and lifestyle brands, Chiney K has long used her platform to normalize Jamaican representation in the mainstream. But this moment signals something deeper: a growing hunger for Black, Caribbean-American women to be seen as global voices—not just niche ones.

"This is the kind of news we don't see enough," said Collins. "Black women—especially Caribbean-American women being honored not just for surviving, but for connecting cultures, launching businesses, and changing how we're seen on the world stage."
