Idaho: Gov. Little veto restores funding for doctor recruitment

EntSun News/11089138
Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - In a move to support the growth of Idaho's healthcare workforce, Governor Brad Little has vetoed House Bill 978 today. The bill, which was passed by the Legislature, had stripped funding for eight current medical residents in the middle of their three-year medical residency commitment.

The Governor's veto reinstates the funding that was cut and reinforces his commitment to increasing the number of physicians in Idaho. This decision aligns with his ENDURING IDAHO plan, which has already allocated nearly $1 million for the Graduate Medical Residency program.
