Idaho: Gov. Little announces administration changes

Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - After years of dedicated service to the Idaho State Board of Education, Governor Brad Little expressed his gratitude to Bill Gilbert and Cindy Siddoway as their terms on the board came to an end.

Governor Little commended Gilbert and Siddoway for their commitment to improving education in Idaho and strengthening the institutions that prepare students for success. Siddoway joined the State Board of Education in 2021 with a strong background in agriculture, business, and community leadership. Her service has been integral in advancing the state's efforts to strengthen education and connect students with opportunities within Idaho's growing economy.

Governor Little emphasized that both Gilbert and Siddoway understand the inseparable link between education and economic opportunity. In addition to thanking Gilbert and Siddoway for their service on the State Board of Education, Governor Little also announced his appointment of Mitch Watkins as chairman of the Idaho Transportation Board.

Watkins brings extensive experience in business, transportation, and community leadership to this role. As chairman, he will play a crucial role in guiding the Idaho Transportation Department as it continues to invest in the state's transportation infrastructure, support economic growth, and ensure safe and efficient roads and highways for Idaho families, businesses, and communities.

Governor Little expressed his appreciation for Watkins' willingness to serve in this important position.
