Idaho Falls: Construction on E Street Between Memorial Drive and Yellowstone Highway Begins March 9
EntSun News/11086099
~ Idaho Falls - On Monday, March 9, the City of Idaho Falls will begin a major construction project on E Street between Memorial Drive and Northgate Mile (Yellowstone Highway). The project, which is expected to be completed in June 2026, will involve the reconstruction of the water mainline and storm drain system, as well as upgrades to curbs, sidewalks, and corner ramps.
According to the City's Public Works department, these improvements are necessary to strengthen critical infrastructure and improve roadway conditions in the area. The project is part of the city's ongoing efforts to invest in critical infrastructure and enhance roadway safety, reliability, and connectivity throughout the community.
During construction, parking along E Street within the work zone will be restricted. Motorists can expect lane shifts, closures, and temporary detours as work progresses. However, access to businesses will be maintained via nearby side streets such as Capital Avenue, Park Avenue, and Shoup Avenue.
