ICI Homes' Amelia National Golf Course Renovations Complete

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. - EntSun -- ICI Homes, a Florida-based custom homebuilder and one of the nation's most esteemed builders, proudly announces renovations of its acclaimed Tom Fazio-designed golf course at Amelia National Golf & Country Club are complete.

Amelia National reopened for play in November 2025 following re-grassing by the course's original architectural firm, Fazio Design. The $15 Million renovation project began in March 2025, following an active winter season. A portion of the project's budget supported a new golf maintenance facility, which recently began construction.

Opened in 2006, Tom Fazio designed the Amelia National golf course using the existing coastal-forested terrain. The renovation enhanced course conditions with new TifTuf Bermuda grass on the fairways, tees and rough, and TifEagle Bermuda grass on the greens. The project design team refined holes, greens and fairways for improved playability and more efficient maintenance. At some holes, they updated bunkers using a technology called Bunker Solution to minimize washout problems and added tees for improved strategy. The project design team restored the greens back to original sizes to maximize hole locations and re-positioned cart tracks to improve player flow. Trees and foliage in select areas were trimmed to improve vistas and drainage.

The Tom Fazio-designed golf course is the centerpiece of Amelia National, one of ICI Homes' signature communities in northeast Florida. The course provides beautiful natural backdrops to residents' homes and Amelia National's clubhouse, which also serves as the amenity hub.
