HONESDALE, Pa. - EntSun -- Pascavage Painting LLC is kicking off the new season with a fresh coat of generosity.
This year, instead of starting the season with a big promotion, Pascavage Painting is starting with something more meaningful: a free, full paint job to a community member in need.
The idea is simple. Paint changes how a house looks and feels. It can turn "we're getting by" into "we're proud to come home." For a family going through a tough time, that feeling matters. The Pascavage Painting team decided that before they asked the community for business this season, they'd first give something back.
"Painting is what we do every day," said Vinnie, owner of Pascavage Painting LLC. "For us, it's routine. But for a homeowner, it can be the difference between feeling stuck and feeling like they're getting a fresh start. We wanted to offer that feeling to someone who could really use it right now."

The company asked local residents to nominate friends, neighbors, or family members who might benefit from a free paint job. Nominations included people facing medical bills, single parents working multiple jobs, elderly homeowners on fixed incomes, and families who've had to put home care at the bottom of the priority list just to stay afloat.
From those submissions, Pascavage Painting selected one homeowner to receive a complete, professional paint job at no cost. The project includes prep work, minor repairs as needed, high-quality paint, and the same attention to detail the company brings to every paying project.
For Pascavage Painting, this isn't just a one-off marketing stunt. It's a statement about what kind of business they want to be known as: one that is rooted in the community, not just working in it. Giving away a full project at the start of the season means turning down paid work for those days, but the team believes it's worth it.

"We live here. We work here. Our kids grow up here," Vinnie added. "If our skills can lighten the load for even one family, that's a good way to start the season."
This is not the first time Pascavage Painting has done this. In 2020, they provided a free makeover to the exterior building of the Historical Society in Hawley, PA because they didn't receive funding.
The company hopes this also encourage other local businesses to think about how they can give back with the skills and tools they already have.
