• Prince Kūhiō Day: On March 26, 2026, the resort will host its annual celebration in honor of the "People's Prince," with events for guests and the community featuring Hawaiian music, hula, and traditional food.
• Cultural Tours: New site inspections and tours will include dedicated talking points and stories about Prince Kūhiō and the historic Kuhio vine, connecting guests directly to the land's history.

In collaboration with cultural expert Kumu Blaine as well as the talented students from Waipahu High School, the program also features:

• Hawaiian Word of the Week: A simple yet impactful initiative that will teach guests and employees a new Hawaiian word each week. Words are grouped into themes like nature, ocean, and conversational terms, offering a fun and accessible way to learn the language.
• Cultural Celebrations: The resort will host events throughout the year to celebrate significant dates in Hawaiian history, including King Kamehameha Day, Aloha Festivals, Queen Liliuokalani's Birthday, and Hawaiian Independence Day.

Through the Kaiaulu Hawaiian Culture Program, the hotel aims to create a truly immersive experience that goes beyond a typical resort stay. By educating its staff, weaving Hawaiian language and history into its materials, and celebrating key cultural milestones, the hotel is committed to honoring and perpetuating the spirit of aloha.
