Hilb Group Operating Company Data Breach: Murphy Law Firm Investigates Legal Claims

On or around January 10, 2023, Hilb detected unusual activity relating to several employee email accounts, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, Hilb confirmed that cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured employee email accounts between December 1, 2022 and January 12, 2023. Hilb further determined that through this infiltration, cybercriminals gained access to the sensitive personal information of 81,539 individuals, including names and Social Security numbers.
