HBO Documentary 'Don't Divorce Me' Explains Divorce From a Child's Perspective

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - EntSun -- Don't Divorce Me! Kids' Rules for Parents on Divorce is an HBO Documentary by Amy Schatz and recipient of a Directors Guild of America Award Nomination.
In the film, A group of children, ages 5 to 9, share their advice for parents to help kids adjust and cope when families go through a divorce. The half-hour special is a rare opportunity for parents to hear kids' insightful, funny, and often heartfelt thoughts on how to do a better job. Watch the Trailer.
The film recently caught the attention of Florida family and divorce mediator Matthew Brickman. He posted a video update on his YouTube Channel in response the film saying, "This past weekend I saw an amazing HBO special called Don't Divorce Me! Kids' Rules for Parents… on Divorce. It was one of the best thirty minute documentaries I've ever seen."

He went on to say, "A few things stuck with me from this documentary."
Matthew Brickman helps divorcing couples create parenting plans that encapsulate these concepts so that children get what they want but more importantly what they need in situations involving the separation of their parents.

Matthew Brickman is a Supreme Court of Florida certified county civil family mediator who has worked in the 15th and 19th Judicial Circuit Courts since 2009 and 2006 respectively. He is also an appellate certified mediator who mediates a variety of small claims, civil, and family cases.
