Governor Abbott Reappoints Bass, Williamson To Texas County And District Retirement System Board Of Trustees

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed James M. Bass and Holly Williamson to the Texas County and District Retirement System Board of Trustees. Their terms are set to expire on December 31, 2031.
The Board's main purpose is to provide retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to Texas county and district employees. With their extensive experience and qualifications, Bass and Williamson are expected to continue serving the Board with dedication and expertise.
James M. Bass, hailing from Austin, brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board as the executive director of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. He previously served as the chief financial officer and executive director of the Texas Department of Transportation. Bass holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.

Holly Williamson, based in Houston, is currently a Harris County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 8, Place 1. She is also a Board Member of the Association of Business and Professional Women and a member of various legal associations such as Justices of the Peace and Constables Association, State Bar of Texas, and Pasadena Bar Association. In addition to her professional commitments, Williamson also volunteers as a Board Member for Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital and the Texas Association of Counties. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Texas State University (formerly known as Southwest Texas State University) and her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston School of Law Center.
Both Bass and Williamson have proven themselves as valuable members on the Board with their dedication to public service and their respective fields. Their reappointments by Governor Abbott demonstrate his confidence in their abilities to continue serving on the Board for years to come.
