~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Pat Gordon to the Texas Transportation Commission for a term that will expire on February 1, 2027. The Commission is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and making important policy decisions regarding the state's highway system.
Gordon, a resident of El Paso, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. He is currently a shareholder at Gordon Davis Johnson Shane & Snider P.C., where he specializes in business, corporate, and tax law. He is also Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
In addition to his legal career, Gordon is actively involved in various organizations and boards. He serves on the Texas Tech University (TTU) Board of Regents and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He also holds positions on the Board of Directors for El Paso Children's Hospital, where he currently serves as vice chairman and has previously served as chairman.
