Good Shepherd Ministries to Serve 1,400 Easter Meals to Toronto's Most Vulnerable

TORONTO - EntSun -- Toronto, ON – This Easter Sunday Good Shepherd Ministries will open its doors at 412 Queen Street East to serve 1,400 free festive meals to individuals affected by homelessness or food insecurity.

"Easter reminds us of the power of hope and kindness," said Aklilu Wendaferew, Executive Director. "It's a chance to reach out, stand together, and make sure no one in our community is left behind."

The event offers more than just food. Guests will enjoy a warm, welcoming environment that celebrates renewal, compassion, and community.

Good Shepherd Ministries runs Toronto's largest free meal program, serving 376,473 meals in 2025. The organization also provides shelter, medical care, clothing, counselling, housing and support services to help those in need rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.
