Georgia: First Lady Kemp, Mayor Dickens, Connor Tomlinson Release World Cup Anti-Human Trafficking PSA

EntSun News/11095400
ATLANTA ~ In a joint effort to combat human trafficking, First Lady Marty Kemp, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, and advocate and Netflix's "Love on the Spectrum" star Connor Tomlinson have launched a new public service announcement (PSA) specifically targeting individuals with autism. The PSA was rolled out today in Atlanta, just in time for the upcoming World Cup.

According to First Lady Kemp, who has been a vocal advocate for ending human trafficking, the influx of visitors during the World Cup creates an opportunity for traffickers to exploit vulnerable individuals. "We're coming together to let Georgians and visitors alike know that people with autism and other disabilities are especially at risk of human trafficking," she stated. "And if you see something, we all need you to say something."

Mayor Dickens echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that combatting human trafficking has been a priority for his administration since he took office. Under the leadership of the Office of Violence Reduction, partnerships have been formed and awareness campaigns have been run to address this issue. "Now we are proud to team up with First Lady Marty Kemp to double down on protecting some of our communities' most vulnerable," he said.

The PSA will be distributed across gathering places throughout the World Cup and will also be available on social media platforms. It can also be viewed in full through a message from the organizers.

For those who want to learn more about how to spot and report signs of human trafficking, free training is available through the GRACE Commission. This partnership between government agencies and private organizations aims to educate individuals on how they can help prevent this heinous crime.

As Georgia prepares for an influx of visitors during the World Cup, it is crucial that everyone remains vigilant in identifying and reporting any suspicious activity related to human trafficking. With this new PSA and ongoing efforts from leaders like First Lady Marty Kemp and Mayor Andre Dickens, steps are being taken towards creating a safer environment for all individuals in Georgia.
