General Dynamics Announces Rayha to Succeed Graney as President of Electric Boat

RESTON, Va., Aug. 1, 2024 ~ General Dynamics, a global aerospace and defense company, has announced that Kevin Graney will be retiring from his position as president of Electric Boat at the end of the year. Graney has been with General Dynamics for nearly 30 years and has held various leadership roles within the company.
Graney's retirement was confirmed by Phebe Novakovic, chairman and chief executive officer of General Dynamics, who praised his contributions to the company. "Kevin has served General Dynamics with distinction for nearly 30 years, including tenures as president of both NASSCO and Electric Boat," said Novakovic. "His shipbuilding expertise and strong leadership have been instrumental to the performance and continuous improvement of both NASSCO and Electric Boat."
Taking over as president of Electric Boat on December 1 will be Mark Rayha, who currently serves as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Electric Boat. Rayha is a 35-year veteran of General Dynamics and has held various positions within the company, including CFO of General Dynamics Mission Systems.

Novakovic expressed confidence in Rayha's abilities to lead Electric Boat into the future. "Mark is a proven and capable leader," she said. "His experience as CFO and COO of Electric Boat will ensure that we continue to grow to support our nation's need for submarines."
Graney joined General Dynamics in 1995 and has held leadership roles at both Electric Boat and NASSCO before becoming president of NASSCO in 2013 and then president of Electric Boat in 2019.
Rayha joined General Dynamics in 1989 at Land Systems before moving on to other positions within the company. He became CFO of General Dynamics Mission Systems in 2015 before joining Electric Boat in 2020. He then served as CFO from 2021 to 2023 before being appointed chief operating officer.
General Dynamics employs over 100,000 people across 65 countries and generated $42.3 billion in revenue in 2023. The company offers a wide range of products and services in business aviation, ship construction and repair, land combat vehicles, weapons systems and munitions, and technology products and services.
