A new podcast featuring experienced recovery professionals launched on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with a mission to support families whose loved ones have experienced multiple relapses and repeated treatment episodes, a group often overlooked in traditional conversations on recovery and addiction.
The Beyond Relapse Podcast, hosted by Henry Maxwell and Stefan Bate, addresses the exhausting cycle many families know all too well: treatment, brief recovery, relapse, and repeat. Each episode features honest, in-depth conversations offering guidance, insight, and practical tools to help families better understand addiction, participate meaningfully in the recovery process, and work toward lasting change.

Co-host Stefan Bate brings nearly two decades of professional experience in addiction recovery. A partner and Co-CEO at Jay Walker Lodge, a men's treatment center based in Carbondale, Colorado, Bate began his own recovery journey in 2007. His career has included roles such as recovery coach, therapist, and program director, giving him a comprehensive perspective on relapse, long-term recovery, and family involvement.
Co-host Henry Maxwell is the owner of Maxwell Recovery Services, a concierge recovery company based in the Roaring Fork Valley, that works with families nationwide. A trained interventionist and recovery navigator, Maxwell began his own recovery journey in 2013, and brings deep insight into the emotional, logistical, and relational challenges that families face when relapse becomes a recurring pattern.
