Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands collecting donations for local back-to-school supply drives
EntSun News/11097821
FORT MYERS, Fla. - EntSun -- Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands is serving as a drop-off location for three local back-to-school supply drives that support the academic success of Lee County students.
Through July 24, bank customers and island neighbors are encouraged to drop off donations of school supplies to any of the bank's locations in Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva. Requested items include backpacks, two-pocket folders, notebooks, three-ring binders, rulers, arts and crafts supplies, pens and pencils, dry erase markers, paper, backpacks, pencil boxes, tissues, calculators, wired headphones, reusable water bottles and more. Donations will be delivered to F.I.S.H. of SanCap, the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and The Heights Foundation before the first day of school on Aug. 11.
"Every year, families face rising costs when preparing for the new school year, making it challenging for those already managing tight budgets" said Robbie Roepstorff, president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands. "Through these local supply drives, we aim to lighten that financial burden and ensure students have the essential items they need to start the school year. It's a meaningful opportunity for our community to come together, support local families and invest in the success of the next generation."
