DBF Viewer 2000 v9.25 Adds Command-Line Index Tag Removal
EntSun News/11097513
SEATTLE - EntSun -- HiBase Group has released DBF Viewer 2000 v9.25, an updated version of its Windows utility for viewing, editing, converting, and maintaining DBF databases. The new release adds the ability to remove an index tag through the command line, giving administrators and developers another operation that can be completed without opening the graphical interface.
New Command-Line Option for Index Maintenance
Index tags are often created to support sorting, searching, and record access in a required order. Over time, a tag may become unnecessary after a database structure changes, an application is retired, or an indexing rule is replaced. Until now, removing such a tag could require a manual step. Version 9.25 allows the operation to be included in a command-line task.
The change is useful for organizations that maintain many DBF files or run scheduled database procedures. A script can now remove an unwanted index tag as part of a larger sequence that prepares files for another application, updates a data set, or performs regular maintenance. The operation can also be added to batch files and automated jobs, reducing the need to repeat the same action by hand.

More Control for Repeatable DBF Tasks
Command-line support has long been an important part of DBF Viewer 2000. The program can automate common database operations, including data import, export, replacement, structural changes, and duplicate removal. The addition in v9.25 extends this approach to index maintenance, helping users keep scripted procedures consistent from one run to the next.
Removing an index tag from the command line is especially practical when the same change must be applied during deployment or data preparation. It also helps technical teams document the full process in a script instead of relying on separate instructions for an operator. Because the command can be run without navigating dialogs, it fits established maintenance routines and can be repeated whenever updated DBF files arrive.
Pricing and Availability
DBF Viewer 2000 supports Windows operating systems from Windows XP to Windows 11, both 32- and 64-bit editions. The price of a personal license that allows using the tool at home is $49.95. The business license that allows commercial usage costs $99.95. The site license for corporations costs $199.95, and $599.95 is the price for a worldwide unlimited license.
