Creators Rights Movement Launches "1,000 Names in 30 Days" Campaign
EntSun News/11088117
WASHINGTON - EntSun -- The Creators Rights Movement today announced the launch of its bold new initiative, "1,000 Names in 30 Days," beginning April 1, aimed at rallying creators and supporters nationwide to push for critical reform of outdated copyright laws.
At the heart of the Movement is a clear and urgent mission: to advocate for changes to current copyright laws that limit ownership of creative works to the life of the creator plus 70 years. CRM is calling for perpetual copyright protection, ensuring that creators and their families can benefit from their work for generations to come.
"Creators dedicate their lives to producing work that shapes culture, informs communities, and inspires future generations," said Mark Goldstein, Founder of the Creators Rights Movement. "Yet under current law, that work can eventually be used freely by others who had no role in its creation. We believe creators deserve the ability to pass down the full benefits of their work just like any other asset. This campaign is about fairness, ownership, and protecting what rightfully belongs to creators and their families."
The "1,000 Names in 30 Days" campaign will serve as a unifying call to action, inviting creators and advocates to publicly support the push for legislative reform. By collecting 1,000 signatures in 30 days, CRM aims to demonstrate widespread demand for change and build momentum toward influencing policymakers. This campaign is just the beginning of a broader effort to modernize copyright law and ensure that creative work is treated as a lasting asset—not a temporary one.
