Weight loss mindset expert Becca Gillen wants to help you get 'unf*cked' through new programme

LONDON - EntSun -- As the world shut down to slow the spread of COVID-19, people everywhere stopped going to gyms and started packing on pounds as they turned to food for comfort.

In short, they got f*cked up on food. Now, many don't know how to get unf*cked.

One human behaviour and lifestyle change expert is ramping up her efforts to help people "get unf*cked" through a new initiative designed to harness the power of education and coaching to help people through these tough times.

Becca Gillen offers 1-1 coaching, online courses, and workshops on how to retrain one's mindset by focusing on the root causes of problems like eating and body image issues, exercising, low self-esteem, and any other personal obstacles. Through her coaching practice, she works with clients to focus on solution-based problem solving to change behaviours and manage emotions effectively while initiating daily habits that allow for realistic and sustainable lifestyle changes.

Her main programme is called "Unfuck," a unique method she created herself by drawing from her training and experiences as a qualified nurse, nutritionist, life coach, and practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (NLP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

The Unfuck Method blends multiple disciplines to help clients build self-awareness, educate themselves on proven techniques for achieving mental flexibility, and implementing those techniques into their lives to facilitate real and lasting change.

"I try to encourage people to look at situations and problems from a different perspective and see challenges as opportunities to grow, whether that be food, weight loss, mindset, self-esteem, or something else," Gillen said. "My goal is to empower individuals and help them help themselves! I try to provide tools that the individual can implement so they can carry on in life feeling autonomous."

The Unfuck Programme offers access to Gillen's printable "Unf*ck Book" including a mix of assessments for self-awareness; education on food, weight loss, cognitive distortions, mindset, self-esteem, body image, and exercise; and a journal/planner. The programme also includes lifetime access to hundreds of video and audio lectures, infographics, self-assessments, workouts, an exercise library, and a private Facebook offering members support and accountability.

In addition to working one-on-one with individual clients, Gillen offers corporate workshops on all elements of physical and mental health, from disease management and prevention in the workplace to communication, time management, stress reduction, and  more.
