Columbia Police respond to homicide on Range Line Street

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police responded to a cardiac arrest call on the afternoon of August 12th in the 1300 block of Range Line Street. Upon arrival, officers found the death of 37-year-old Destiny Dunn from Kansas City, Missouri to be suspicious. After further investigation, it was determined that Dunn's death was a homicide.
The victim's next of kin has been notified and the suspect, 35-year-old Nicholas Ayres from Crane, Missouri, has been arrested for domestic assault in the first-degree and murder in the second-degree.

The Columbia Police Department is currently conducting an ongoing investigation and is asking anyone with information about this incident to come forward. They can contact the department at 573.874.7652 or provide information anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477 or online at http://www.p3tips.com/899. A cash reward of up to $2,500 may be given for information leading to an arrest.
This case is being handled under Missouri Statutes 565.050 for assault in the first-degree and 565.021 for murder in the second-degree with case number 2026-007673.
