The grant, which aims to support events that commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, is now accepting applications. Interested individuals can access the application on the city's website at https://www.como.gov/juneteenth-celebrations/. The document includes detailed guidelines and instructions for completing the application. For those who prefer a paper application, they are available at City Hall, the Walton Building/Convention and Visitors Bureau office, and the Gentry Building. Completed applications can be emailed, hand-delivered, or mailed to the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
