Columbia: City offices closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - As Memorial Day approaches, the City of Columbia has announced that all city offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of the holiday. This includes the landfill, which will also be closed on this day.
In addition, residential curbside trash collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. To stay updated on collection days and service notifications, residents are encouraged to download the COMO Recycle and Trash App. Any questions regarding the collection schedule can be directed to the Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489).
The city's public transit system, Go COMO, will not be operating on Memorial Day. Parking enforcement will also be suspended for the day.

For those looking to stay active on the holiday, the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will be open at reduced hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with rec swim available from noon to 2:30 p.m. The Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center will also be open from noon to 5 p.m.
Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will also be closed on May 25, with regular business hours resuming on May 26.
While administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will still be available. The Columbia Police Department is reminding residents to drive safely and within posted speed limits if they are traveling for the holiday.
For any emergencies related to Water & Light, Sewer or Stormwater, residents can find contact information at CoMo.gov/Utilities.
As we honor those who have served our country this Memorial Day, let us also take a moment to remember those who have made sacrifices for our community.
