Colorado Springs: Mountain Metro rolls out more service this spring
EntSun News/11086042
~ Colorado Springs, CO - As the spring season approaches, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) is gearing up to implement a series of service changes based on feedback from the community. The transit agency reached out to the public for input and received overwhelming support for these updates.
Starting March 29, 2026, riders can expect to see improvements in frequency and coverage on several routes. Route 3 will now offer zero fare and increase its weekday daytime frequency from 30 minutes to 15 minutes. This change is made possible by the support of the City of Manitou Springs and the Colorado Springs Parking Enterprise.
Weekend riders will also benefit from increased frequency on Routes 5, 10, 11, and 25. Route 10 will now run every 30 minutes on weekends with a new Saturday evening service added at a frequency of 60 minutes. Similarly, Routes 11 and 25 will also see their weekend daytime frequency increase from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.

In order to provide better coverage for weekend riders, Route 20 will be discontinued with its services being absorbed by expanded Routes 10 and 11. Additionally, THE ZEB Downtown Shuttle will have a slight adjustment in its weekday daytime frequency from every seven minutes to every ten minutes.
Two new stops near Uintah St. and17th St. have been added to Route 17 for improved accessibility. And in an effort to enhance rider connections, buses on Route 33 will now end their service at the Dillon Mobility Hub before going out of service.
Furthermore, Route40 will transition to year-round operation with extended weekday hours that align with other routes. More information about these changes and survey results can be found on MMTRANSIT.COM.
With these updates in place, MMT hopes to provide more efficient and convenient transit options for its passengers. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and take advantage of these changes starting March29th.
