EntSun News/11081605
~ Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has announced the opening of a new U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry Enrollment Center in Olympic City, USA. The center will officially open its doors on January 13, providing expedited processing for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States.

Global Entry is a CBP Trusted Traveler Program that requires applicants to undergo rigorous and recurring background checks and complete an in-person interview before enrollment. This program is designed to enhance security and streamline screening for pre-approved members, improving efficiency at land, air, and sea ports of entry into the U.S., as well as at Preclearance locations worldwide.

"We are excited to have a Global Entry Enrollment Center here at Colorado Springs Airport," said Alex Kovacs, director of aviation. "This is just another way we make travel easier for our community and visitors. With our new international service to Cancun on Southwest Airlines and more destinations on the horizon, Global Entry offers travelers a faster, more streamlined experience with Customs and Border Protection."

Currently serving over 10 million members, Global Entry is one of four Department of Homeland Security Trusted Traveler Programs. In addition to expedited processing upon arrival in the U.S., membership also includes access to TSA PreCheck®, offering faster security screening for domestic travelers at participating U.S. airports.

Conditionally approved applicants are encouraged to visit the official Trusted Traveler Program website to schedule an appointment for their in-person interview. To do so, they must log in under "Returning Global Entry Members or Applicants" on http.dhs.gov. It is important to note that only conditionally approved applicants may schedule an interview.

Applicants must bring a valid passport (or all valid passports if they have more than one), proof of residency such as a utility bill or mortgage statement with their current address, and a driver's license if applicable. Permanent resident card holders should also bring their card to the interview.

The addition of the Global Entry Enrollment Center at Colorado Springs Airport is just one of the many ways the airport is working to make travel easier and more efficient for its passengers. With new international service and more destinations on the horizon, this program will provide a valuable resource for travelers looking for a faster, more streamlined experience with Customs and Border Protection.
