Frye's signing highlights an exceptional season in which he guided Clay-Chalkville to titles as the 2025 6A Region 6 Champions and 2025 6A North Division Champions. His leadership and playmaking ability have propelled the Cougars to one of the strongest campaigns in program history. In the semifinal victory, Frye showcased his explosiveness by completing 15-of-21 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing 18 times for 148 yards and two additional scores.
