City of Tacoma to Host In-Person 'P&L Show & Tell' Financial Workshop for Small Businesses on April 21
EntSun News/11088843
~ Tacoma, WA - The City of Tacoma's Community and Economic Development Department is continuing its efforts to support the local small business community with an upcoming workshop. On April 21, small business owners are invited to attend the Profit and Loss (P&L) Show & Tell workshop at the Tacoma Public Library.
The workshop, which will run from 2-4 p.m., aims to help small business owners gain a better understanding of their daily financial operations. Led by Katherine Raz, founder and owner of The Fernseed, a local shop, attendees will receive valuable insights from a seasoned small business owner.
Raz opened her business in 2019 and has since become a respected voice in the community on topics such as small business ownership, accessing capital, and navigating commercial corridors. During the event, she will provide a candid look at the financial aspects of running a storefront. Attendees can expect to learn about revenue, expenses, margins, and how these numbers inform important operational decisions.

In addition to discussing financial matters, Raz will also share her own business journey and how she has adapted over time. This personal insight can provide valuable lessons for other small business owners looking to grow and sustain their operations.
Space for this in-person event is limited and registration is required. Interested individuals can register and find more information at makeittacoma.com/events. For any questions or requests for alternate format information, please contact Dierdre Patterson at dpatterson3@tacoma.gov or (253) 591-5621.
This workshop is just one example of the City of Tacoma's commitment to supporting local small businesses. By providing resources and opportunities for education and growth, they hope to see continued success within the community.
