Church of Scientology Hosted Jazz - Themed Block Party in the Heart of Downtown Clearwater

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Feb. 7, 2018 - EntSun -- On the 27th of January 2018 the Church of Scientology hosted its first block party of the year in the heart of downtown Clearwater, where over 2,600 enjoyed live music, carnival style games, and over 30 prizes with a grand prize of $500. In addition, ten non-profit organizations joined the Church at the Block Party to promote what they are doing to improve Tampa Bay. The groups were: the Boy Scouts of America; Rays of Hope; The East Coast Golden Age Theater; Grupo Folkloriko Mahetzi cultural group; the Community Learning Center; Narconon Suncoast; Firmly Established; the Future of Haiti Organization; the Community Service Foundation; and the Civilian Conservation Corps Initiative.
Patel Rolle of Rays of Hope said, "I want to thank the Church of Scientology for giving us the opportunity to be here and promote improving our children's chances for a bright future."

Guests also visited each of the humanitarian centers on Fort Harrison Avenue where they not only received raffle tickets but also learned about what is being done educate the community on drug abuse, human rights, morals, crime prevention and more.
In addition to music, families enjoyed the petting zoo, pony rides, eight different carnival games, balloon artist, train rides, fire truck, and bouncy house. Family and community activist oriented, the block party continues to promote positive change in the Clearwater community.
