EntSun News/11070679
A teen mom turned nurse, entrepreneur, and community builder shares a letter on endurance, peace, and purpose; national release September 20, 2025.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - EntSun -- Dr. Andrea "Angel" Taylor, a Charlotte-based nurse-leader and entrepreneur, is a contributing author in the forthcoming Dear Black Woman Anthology, a national collection of first-person letters by Black women to their younger selves and to one another. The book releases September 20, 2025.

In her letter, Taylor revisits senior year, when she faced pregnancy, shame, and silence—then crossed the graduation stage after giving birth. "You push through. You give birth and graduate in the same breath," she writes. She reflects on years when anger sat close, the work of unclenching her fists, and the ongoing choice to lead with open hands, guiding others toward peace while honoring an imperfect life.

Taylor serves North Carolina communities as Chapter President of Dear Black Woman – North Carolina. She is co-owner of Soulful Sounds Entertainment and founder of Nourish then Flourish Collective, a wellness initiative focused on balance and growth. A registered nurse and Executive Director of Nursing at Rena Home Care, she blends clinical expertise with mentorship, sisterhood, and service.
