State Representative Christopher Worrell emphasized the importance of Ceylon Park in the neighborhood. He stated that this $1 million investment is not just about improving a park but also about investing in children's futures. He believes that this grant will show every child who steps onto this field that their community believes in them and their potential.

City Councilor Brian Worrell also expressed his pride in helping shepherd this project to its next stage. He stated that he is committed to continuing park upgrades in his district and across the city.

The grant was provided through the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant Program, managed by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
