Bedrock Furniture Marks 25 Years as Trusted Bridgwater Family Furniture Store

BRIDGWATER, U.K. - EntSun -- Bridgwater, Somerset – Bedrock Furniture, an independent furniture retailer in Bridgwater, is celebrating 25 years in business, helping customers across Bridgwater and the wider Somerset area create comfortable and welcoming homes.

The business was originally started by Sue alongside her father Malcolm, who became well known locally and is still fondly referred to by many customers as "Mr Bedrock." In the early days it was very much a hands-on family business, building a reputation for friendly service and honest advice.

Malcolm retired from the business a couple of years ago, and today Sue runs Bedrock Furniture together with her partner Les, continuing the same personal approach that customers have come to appreciate over the years.

As a small independent furniture shop, Bedrock Furniture is known for its welcoming atmosphere and carefully chosen furniture ranges. Customers visiting the store are usually greeted by Sue and Les, and very often they are the same people who will later deliver the furniture as well.

"Being a small independent shop means we can really take the time to help people choose the right furniture for their home," said Sue. "We genuinely care about our customers and their homes. Unlike some of the larger national chains, we'd much rather make sure people leave with the right product rather than pushing them to spend more."

Over the past 25 years Bedrock Furniture has become a trusted furniture shop in Bridgwater, supplying beds, mattresses, sofas, recliners, mobility furniture, bedroom furniture and home accessories.

The store also offers lift and rise recliner chairs from leading British manufacturer Celebrity Furniture, including models that have received the Which? Best Buy recommendation, allowing customers to visit the store and try the chairs before buying.

Supporting British-made products remains an important part of the Bedrock Furniture philosophy, with many ranges coming from UK manufacturers.

More recently, Bedrock Furniture has expanded its home accessories range to include handmade UK home fragrance products, including wax melts, fragrance oils, candles, carpet fresheners, room sprays and reed diffusers, many of which are vegan friendly and cruelty-free.

"We've met so many wonderful people over the years," Sue added. "Some customers first came to us when they were furnishing their first home, and now they're coming back to help their children furnish theirs."

Bedrock Furniture continues to welcome customers from Bridgwater and surrounding areas including Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge and Taunton, offering a friendly local furniture shop with personal service.
