Analog Game Studios Licenses "Kill the King" A Micro Card Game by Will Hutcheson and Sons
EntSun News/11086381
TORONTO - EntSun -- Analog Game Studios today announced that it has licensed the micro card game "Kill the King", designed by Will Hutcheson together with his sons Jack and Sam.
Kill the King is a fast-playing asymmetric information card game built around a remarkably small deck of just 16 cards. In the game, each player controls three hidden characters while attempting to discover and eliminate the King or survive as the King long enough to outlast every other player. With assassins, royals, tricksters, and powerful special abilities, the game delivers dramatic reversals and tense decision-making in a compact, pocket-sized experience.
Analog Game Studios will be launching Kill the King as part of Pocketopia 2026, the annual curated crowdfunding event hosted by BackerKit that highlights innovative small-format tabletop games. The campaign will go live on May 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM.

"Kill the King is a brilliant example of how much strategy, tension, and replayability can be packed into a tiny deck of cards," said Richard MacRae of Analog Game Studios. "We're thrilled to be working with Will, Jake, and Sam Hutcheson to bring this clever design to a wider audience through Pocketopia."
The game's minimalist design emphasizes hidden roles, deduction, and timing. Players must carefully balance aggression and deception as alliances shift and the identity of the King - and the path to victory - can change in an instant.
