All Madison Public Library Locations Closed May 14 for Staff Day; Other May Hour Changes and Closures

~ Madison Public Library Announces Closures and Hours Changes for May
As the month of May approaches, Madison Public Library has announced several closures and hours changes for its various locations. These changes are necessary for staff training and to observe Memorial Day.
On Thursday, May 14, all Madison Public Library locations will be closed for a staff in-service day. This closure will allow library staff to receive important training and updates to better serve the community.
Additionally, Sunday hours at Central, Goodman South Madison, and Lakeview Libraries will be ending on May 17. These libraries have been offering Sunday hours from Labor Day to Memorial Day from 1-5pm. Sunday hours will resume after Labor Day.
For Memorial Day weekend, all Madison Public Library locations will be closed from Sunday, May 24 to Monday, May 25. The Dream Bus will also not be in service during this time.

While the physical spaces may be closed, library card holders can still access LINKcat to place holds, check their records online, or renew items. Book returns will remain open for 24/7 service and Pinney Library even has a convenient drive-through book drop.
In addition to these resources, online collections such as eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from Wisconsin's Digital Library, Kanopy streaming video, Flipster magazines are still available for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes. Many other online resources are also available for exploration.
For those in need of assistance while the library is closed, 211 Wisconsin is available to help connect individuals with food, shelter, safety or other community resources.
The City of Madison has also announced that all city offices including the library will be closed on Memorial Day.
Madison Public Library encourages patrons to take advantage of these closures and hours changes by utilizing their online resources and taking advantage of the convenient book returns during this time.
