Nonprofit will hand out 500 bags of food to students for the holiday
FORT MYERS, Fla. - EntSun -- Athletes Activating Champions & Empowerment (AACE), a nonprofit dedicated to using sports as a catalyst for personal growth and community impact, is raising funds to bring Thanksgiving joy to families at Tice Elementary School.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, AACE student-athletes will deliver 500 bags filled with nonperishable food items to Tice Elementary students, ensuring that every family can celebrate a festive Thanksgiving meal together. Items that will be in the bags include pasta, black beans, canned corn, stuffing, mac & cheese, hot cocoa mix, granola, cookies, pumpkin pie mix and more. The organization is calling on the community to help make this possible by making a monetary donation to purchase the food for the bags.
"This initiative is about more than giving food – it's about giving hope," said Noah Moon, president of AACE. "Our student-athletes are learning that true champions don't just compete, they uplift others. We want to show these families that their community cares and that together, we can make a real difference."
