3rd Annual Chicago Scavenger Hunt May 31st – June 2nd, 2024 Hosted by eATLAS Adventures To Go App
EntSun News/11019990
Prizes Totaling $5,000 Can Be Won by the Best ScavHunt Team including Best Team Name and Costume
CHICAGO - EntSun -- CHICAGO, Illinois—History lovers will take over the Windy City for their shot to win cash prizes totaling $5,000 in eATLAS's annual scavenger hunt May 31st-June 2nd, 2024, with this year's unique theme: CHIstory (pronounced "SHY-story").
Home to innovators and inventions, the history of Chicago is the history of the future. From its incorporation in 1837 through its emergence at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition to today's status as one of the world's great cities, Chicago has seen it all. The contest will take players through the Loop and River North to the locations of landmarks that have been etched into the city's fabric. Each stop in the CHIstory scavenger hunt will require players to draw upon their knowledge of all things Chicago, including history, inventions, architecture, sports, food and music.

Additional prizes will be given to ScavSquads with the best costumes, the most creative ScavSquad name, show off the best ScavSquad spirit, and share their experiences on social media using the hashtags #CHIstory and #chiscavhunt.

This is the third year eATLAS has held its ScavHunt, and the two previous competitions have been won by team Chan Plan, who, as they told eATLAS, "intend to three-peat."
"We've curated a scavenger hunt to highlight some of the city's past in an engaging way that allows you to spend time with your friends and family, or solo while learning some things along the way and competing for cash prizes. You might be seeking the history of deep-dish pizza on one stop and then finding Art Deco treasures on the next." — eATLAS President Jon Matuzak.
eATLAS also offers numerous downloadable app-guided Adventures featuring Chicago's iconic and lesser-known neighborhoods and other locations across the U.S.
About eATLAS: eATLAS is a mobile tourism app bringing "Adventures To Go" through app-guided tours and scavenger hunts via your smartphone. Each adventure is built with multiple points of interest, a mix of audio and video clips, geocoordinates, maps, photos, and informative text. Participants are entertained and informed while sometimes completing challenges at stops. eATLAS is available for download through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
