17th Annual Kingston Clean Sweep Takes Place Saturday, May 2, 2026

KINGSTON, N.Y. - EntSun -- The 17th Annual Kingston Clean Sweep will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will be picking up litter lying along the "Kingston Corridor" from the railroad crossing on Washington Avenue through the uptown business district, down Broadway to the Rondout waterfront, as well as some side streets.

The Kingston Clean Sweep is sponsored by the Kingston Rotary Club with support from the City of Kingston and numerous other business, service and civic organizations, schools, churches and individual volunteers.

The following groups have committed to the event:  Kingston Uptown Business Association, City of Kingston — Ward 9, Hudson River Maritime Museum, Kingston Lions Club, Junior League of Kingston,  Kingston Catholic School,  Center for Creative Education, Ulster Garden Club, Rhinebeck Bank,  Archtop Fiber, City Hall, Friends of Historic Kingston, YMCA, Kingston Fireman's Museum, Reher Center,  Kingston Waterfront Business Association, Friends of Kingston Library, Livingston Street Group, LGBTQ Center, Columbia-Greene Board of Realtors, Ulster Corps, People's Place, Radio Kingston, Kingston Rotary, Kingston Kiwanis, Kingston City Land Bank, Keegan's Army, Ulster Savings Bank and Jeff Lowe Plumbing and Heating.
