Taste of Yolo Festival Tickets on Sale Now

California's Newest Food and Wine Festival Comes to Davis, CA

DAVIS, Calif. - Feb. 15, 2017 - EntSun -- Tickets are now on sale for the first-ever Taste of Yolo festival, set for June 10, 2017, in Central Park in downtown Davis, CA. Celebrating the extraordinary bounty of Yolo County agriculture and cuisine, the event will run from 3-8pm and offer a wide range of tastings, celebrity chef demonstrations, and other activities.

The festival is presented by Visit Yolo (Yolo County Visitors Bureau) as a way to raise the visibility of local producers and increase culinary and agricultural tourism in Yolo County.

"Yolo County is one of the great growing regions of the world, and what better way to celebrate that fact – and bring people together to sample and buy the good things we grow here – than to have a great gathering like this," says Alan Humason, Executive Director of Visit Yolo. "We want to recognize our agricultural community, but also let people know there are great wineries and breweries to visit here, farm tours and farm stays to enjoy, farm-to-fork dinners out in the countryside all year, and many other things to see and do that make visiting Yolo County so worthwhile and enjoyable."

Nearly 90 exhibitors from Davis, Woodland, Winters, Clarksburg, Capay Valley, and West Sacramento will have booths, with each community represented by a specific cluster of vendors. "There will be restaurants offering bites from their menus, wineries, breweries, olive oil, nuts, honey, fresh produce, and more, all from Yolo County producers," says Mo Stoycoff, Events and Marketing Coordinator for Visit Yolo. "Visitors will also be able to buy products on site and take them home in our complimentary tote bags."

The Nugget Market culinary stage will be headlined by Chef Tanya Holland, owner and executive chef of Brown Sugar Kitchen in Oakland and author of Brown Sugar Kitchen cookbook. Also appearing will be Chef Patrick Mulvaney of Mulvaney's B&L in Sacramento and Chef Fred Reyes of Buckhorn Steakhouse in Winters.

Early-bird tickets are on sale until April 30th and cost $10 for event entry and food tastings, or $25 to include wine and beer tastings.
