James Zheng: From Bankruptcy to Global #1 in a 400,000-Person Company
EntSun News/11094237
From bankruptcy court to global stages, Zheng's story shows how resilience and faith can transform life's hardest seasons into unexpected breakthroughs.
SAN DIEGO - EntSun -- Every entrepreneur who builds something lasting eventually hits the wall. The difference, many say, isn't avoiding failure — it's refusing to quit when it hurts most. James Zheng's journey from financial ruin to becoming the top-ranked partner in a global wellness company is a stark bankruptcy testimony of faith and financial recovery, showing that longevity through adversity often separates fleeting efforts from enduring success.
Zheng arrived at UC Berkeley as a shy biology student eyeing medical school, so introverted he struggled to order food in restaurants. At 19, a chance introduction to network marketing changed his path. He built the business part-time through college, then full-time after graduation. He married his second recruit, Becky, and by 2016 the couple had climbed to top ranks in their company.

The fall came hard in 2017. Revenue collapsed, debts mounted, and years of over-leveraged striving ended in a painful decision: bankruptcy.
They chose a different rebuild — not the relentless hustle, but what he calls "God's way": grace-led, faith-first, and sustained by daily obedience.
When their former company relaunched in 2022, the couple went all in. The results were dramatic. Zheng rose to #1 out of more than 400,000 global partners, becoming one of the fastest-growing leaders in the premium wellness organization. He shared the stage with large influencers at major company events, speaking to an audience that reached 65,000 virtually. The couple 10x'd their income in a single year, built a seven-figure business, and welcomed a miracle baby, Jayden, after five years of infertility.
The turnaround began with a desperate prayer. Frustrated by self-help books and gurus that delivered little, Zheng asked God for a better path. The answer, he says, produced "The Miraculous Breakthrough Formula," his free "How to Succeed in Business God's Way" course, weekly Bible studies for leaders, and an upcoming book titled God's Help > Self Help.

At its core, Zheng's message is straightforward and timely: God's help is greater than self-help. He points to Matthew 6:33 — "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" — as the foundation for overcoming financial hardship and stepping into unexpected breakthroughs.
For entrepreneurs staring down the temptation to quit their biggest dreams, Zheng offers a direct challenge: keep showing up. God is not finished. When you build with Him, for Him, and through Him, even the most desperate seasons can become the foundation for something far greater.
