Antonio Srado Unveils the L.I.A.M. with Friends Act to Expand Sensory-Friendly Access for Special Needs Families Through Pro-Business Solutions

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - EntSun -- (PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL) — Florida's 22nd Congressional District Republican candidate Antonio Srado today formally launched the L.I.A.M. with Friends Act (Living In Accessible Moments with Friends), a pro-people, pro-business federal policy initiative designed to expand sensory accessibility for individuals with autism, PTSD, and sensory processing disorders through voluntary, market-driven solutions.

The L.I.A.M. with Friends Act is structured as a capped, per-location federal tax credit pilot program, allowing participating private businesses to voluntarily earn modest tax credits for qualifying sensory-friendly upgrades and staff training. The program is nationally capped, time-limited, and paired with a non-monetary "L.I.A.M. Certified Sensory-Friendly" designation to encourage adoption without mandates, penalties, or new regulatory agencies.

"This is not a mandate. This is not an entitlement. This is a voluntary, conservative, market-first solution that helps families access everyday life while empowering businesses to lead," Srado said. "Accessibility should never require isolation, and dignity should never depend on zip code."

Srado's initiative is deeply personal. He is the father of a severely nonverbal autistic child and has spoken publicly about how overstimulating environments often force families like his to withdraw from public life, not by choice, but by circumstance.

"When environments become too loud, too bright, or too chaotic, families are boxed out of normal life," Srado said. "Policy should reflect real lived experience, not theory. The L.I.A.M. with Friends Act turns quiet daily barriers into practical, voluntary solutions."

The initiative supports:
  • Children and adults with autism
  • Individuals with PTSD and sensory processing disorders, including veterans
  • Families seeking inclusive community access
  • Small businesses across retail, healthcare, hospitality, and entertainment

The program incentivizes:
  • Reduced noise and softer lighting
  • Predictable sensory environments
  • Weekly sensory-friendly hours
  • Staff training for sensory awareness
  • Calm, accessible design standards

Unlike traditional regulatory approaches, the L.I.A.M. with Friends Act places free enterprise at the center, allowing businesses to opt in, families to choose where they feel welcome, and the private sector to innovate without federal coercion.

If elected to Congress, Srado has committed to formally introducing the L.I.A.M. with Friends Act within his first 100 days.

"This is access without mandates, dignity without coercion, and free enterprise solving problems government shouldn't control," Srado said.
