Covington to Host Bike Ride Across Georgia Event

Thousands of bike riders to call Covington home on June 3rd in the Bike Ride Across Georgia.

COVINGTON, Ga. - May 14, 2019 - EntSun -- The Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) is a not-for-profit dedicated to providing affordable, quality bicycle tours in and across the state of Georgia. BRAG is the second oldest across-state bicycle tour in the world and has attracted riders domestically and internationally for more than 40 years.

Beginning June 3rd at 11:00 am through June 4th at 7:00 am Covington will be hosting the spring ride BRAG event. Over 1000 bike riders will be staying at Indian Creek Middle school for overnight to rest for the next leg of their journey. The Covington – Newton County Tourism Bureau will operate shuttles throughout the day to bring BRAG riders to Covington Square to shop and dine. A free concert with Drive Time will begin at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
